Increasingly, clients choose to resolve their disagreements using alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”). ADR is less formal than litigation and often can lead to a resolution more quickly, cost-effectively and efficiently than resorting to court proceedings. We have recently been instructed in matters that we have successfully settled by way of conciliation and mediation. We will recommend this to clients when it is appropriate to do so.
